Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is experiencing the consequences of overturning Roe v. Wade after protesters showed up to interrupt his steak dinner at a restaurant in Washington DC this week, resulting in ridicule from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

Kavanaugh joined the conservative majority on the high court to overturn Roe v. Wade last month in a ruling that drew outrage across the country as millions of women lost their right to choose. Kavanaugh and his other conservative colleagues are not only under fire for that ruling but are also being accused of perjury because they outright lied to Congress by affirming that Roe v Wade is the law of the land during their confirmation hearings.

Protests have erupted ever since, including outside the homes of the Justices themselves, which has drawn complaints from Republicans because they hate that particular freedom as well unless they are the ones doing it.

The protesters are rightfully even disrupting the daily lives of the Justices because their ruling has made the lives of women a living hell, so why shouldn’t Kavanaugh and the other conservative judges get a taste of that as well?

When Kavanaugh showed up at a DC steakhouse this week, the protesters were there to greet him, and he ducked out the back of the restaurant to flee from the crowd.

Politico Playbook reports:

On Wednesday night, D.C. protesters targeting the conservative Supreme Court justices who signed onto the Dobbs decision overturning the constitutional right to abortion got a tip that Justice BRETT KAVANAUGH was dining at Morton’s downtown D.C. location. Protesters soon showed up out front, called the manager to tell him to kick Kavanaugh out and later tweeted that the justice was forced to exit through the rear of the restaurant. Daniel Lippman looked into the incident for us and confirmed that account.”

A restaurant representative would go on to characterize the protesters as unruly and whined about them exercising their constitutional right to protest, even at dinnertime. However, it turns out the characterization was false because Kavanaugh ate a full meal and allegedly didn’t even see or hear the protest outside.

In response to Kavanaugh’s cowardly exit, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez ridiculed him and reminded any Republican complainers that there’s a clear double standard in how protesters are treated.

If anything, Kavanaugh and his colleagues should see these protests every day and night. Their lives should be disrupted just like the lives of millions of women and their families in red states have been disrupted. If they don’t like it, they can resign.
