President Donald Trump sent out a tweet of support to protesters in Iran late Saturday evening, but he wound up getting slapped down by George Conway, who just so happens to be the husband of Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump’s top advisers.
Trump posted his tweet to Iranian protesters in both English and Farsi, which is spoken in Iran:
To the brave, long-suffering people of Iran: I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency, and my Administration will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 11, 2020

That led Conway to respond to the president, and he did so in Farsi, too:
خوب است ، اما هنوز استیضاح شده اید ، و همیشه خواهید بود. https://t.co/mPPgT4bwOh

Since most of us don’t speak or read Farsi, here’s a translation of Conway’s tweet:
“Okay, but you’re still being impeached, and you always will be.”
And that wasn’t the only dig Conway got in over the weekend regarding Trump. He and former acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal also wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post that provides advice to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on how she can still throw a monkey wrench into Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) plans to try and rig the Trump’s Senate impeachment trial and assure that no witnesses are called:
