President Donald Trump literally bragged that he could cause Americans to panic if he wanted to, which sounded a lot like a threat, while speaking to CNN reporter Jim Acosta during the daily coronavirus press conference/campaign rally.

During the event, which also featured My Pillow owner Mike Lindell for some reason even though he isn’t a medical or health professional, Trump called on Acosta.

Acosta immediately challenged Trump over his past downplaying of the pandemic that has killed over 3,000 Americans and infected more than 160,000.

“What do you say to Americans who believe that you got this wrong?”

Trump, of course, whined and then seemingly made a boastful threat.

“I don’t want panic in the country. I could cause panic much better than even you. I would make you look like a minor league player,” Trump said. “But you know what? I don’t want to do that. I want to have our country be calm and strong and fight and win and it will go away.”

Here’s the video via Twitter:

Except that Trump already caused a nationwide panic due to his reckless response to the virus and his lack of transparency about the dangers it posed. He repeatedly insisted that the pandemic was a “hoax” and that Americans had nothing to worry about. He also claimed that the virus had been contained and that a few people would get it and it would go away like a miracle.

Well, none of that happened. So, Americans panicked and that panic contributed to the stock market falling off a cliff.

And Trump is still botching his response and causing panic because he actually let the My Pillow guy deliver remarks during the press conference, which is supposed to be a forum for Americans to get answers they need. This was the most disastrous and embarrassing press conference so far, and it just demonstrates that Trump is incapable of leading.
