Fox News political analyst Brit Hume was excoriated on social media after he made fun of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for wearing a protective face mask to a Memorial Day observance in his home state of Delaware.
Taking to Twitter, Hume posted this:

What Hume failed to mention is that Biden is acting in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which specifically urge all Americans to wear a face mask when out in public as a way to help control the spread of the novel coronavirus and protect those who are most at risk of contracting the disease.
President Donald Trump also retweeted Hume’s mocking of Biden, and it wasn’t long before the internet lit up with criticism of Hume for daring to take a cheap shot at Biden for being a leader and doing the right thing:
