Jenna Ellis, who serves as an attorney to President Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, appeared on CNN Sunday to discuss a threat the Trump campaign made against the network for airing a poll that showed presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden with a double digit lead over the president, and quickly tried to accuse the network of running a fake poll, whining:

“No pollster in the world would stand behind this as a legitimate poll, according to industry standards. So why would CNN? Why?”

Stelter responded:

“What industry standards? This poll is in line with other network polls. Pretty much every poll shows Trump losing to Biden.”

But Ellis continued to complain:

“That’s not true. You polled adults, not registered voters, not likely voters, but just adults.

“The only reason CNN published this, it’s junk science. You know that. And you know that if you’re poll showed the inverse and showed Joe Biden 14 points behind, you wouldn’t have published this poll.”

Stelter disagreed, but Ellis was too wound up to stop her incessant rambling:

“Let me finish! Are you just going to interrupt me this whole time? Or can we actually have a reasonable dialog. This is why everyone calls you fake news. Because you finally bring me on to actually talk about things and then, yet, you just interrupt me and won’t let me make my point.”

The CNN host quickly regained control of the interview, reminding the Trump shill the he interrupted her to call out her blatant lying:

“Your comment about polls and industry standards was totally false. And it’s important to interrupt when you share fake information.”

Instead of using facts for her retort to Stelter, Ellis resorted to insults:

“You call yourself a journalist. And it’s your job to report the facts and then let the people decide. Your ratings are so bad and so in the tank because America knows that CNN publishes activist agenda against President Trump.”

That’s when Stelter used facts to slam the door on the Trump attorney:

“CNN is one of the highest rated channels on cable. If you think the ratings are so low — it’s untrue but it shouldn’t matter — why would you bother coming on?”

When Ellis again tried to bring up ratings, Stelter asked the most pertinent question of the interview:

“Why is it President Trump cares about ratings at a time like this?”

There’s only one reason the Trump campaign threatened CNN for its poll: Because they know it’s true and the president is indeed way behind to Biden They’re scared, embarrassed, and humiliated, but rather than work harder, they’ve decided to attack the messenger. It’s the standard M.O. that Donald Trump has used his entire life. He cannot accept blame for anything, so he tries to pass the buck. But as the polls continue to show, the American voting public is sick and tired of the lies, the BS, and the attacks. They’re ready for a change.

Here’s the interview, which is in two parts:
