Proving once again that the current crop of congressional Republicans are the most intellectually-challenged in American history, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said she would challenge Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) “to a sprint” for the right to hire acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse as an intern.
During an appearance on Newsmax Tuesday, Boebert told former Trump administration aide Seb Gorka:
“Now I do have some colleagues on the Hill who have, just like me, offered Kyle Rittenhouse an internship in their office. And Madison Cawthorn, he said that he would arm wrestle me for this Kyle Rittenhouse internship. But Madison Cawthorn has some pretty big guns, and so I would like to challenge him to a sprint instead.
“Let’s make this fair.”
But as HuffPost notes, Cawthorn won’t exactly be able to “sprint” because he’s in a wheelchair:
Gorka offered to arm wrestle Cawthorn, who was partially paralyzed in a 2014 car accident, in Boebert’s stead.
“Allow me to arm wrestle him on your behalf. I love a good arm wrestle, and I would be happy ― Madison’s a buddy ― I’d be happy to arm wrestle him on your behalf,” he said.

Not everyone is enamored with the idea of Rittenhouse working as a House intern. One of his former attorneys, Mark Richards remarked:
“They’re raising money on it, and you have all these Republican congressmen saying come work for me. They want to trade on his celebrity, and I think it’s disgusting.”
Boebert’s absurd statement of racing Cawthorn also led to mockery on Twitter:
I’m surprised she didn’t propose a duel.

These people are in a contest to see who can be the most despicable person in the universe. They both win and lose.

Once the starter pistol goes off…there will be so much resulting gunfire that they’ll never know who wins …

There isn’t one part of this that is not revolting.

It would be appropriate it they had a shootout to decide it. AR-15s at 20 paces.
