President Joe Biden attended the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday and made two jokes about Donald Trump, who spurned the event during his time in office. Of course, the RNC threw a fit about it.

The notoriously thin-skinned Trump refused to attend the event because he can’t handle being the punchline. But Biden had no problem attending this year to resume the tradition. And when it came time for him to deliver some jokes of his own, he didn’t disappoint.

“This is the first time the president attended this dinner in six years,” Biden said. “It’s understandable, we had a horrible plague followed by two years of Covid.”

Indeed, Trump was a horrible plague on the nation. But Biden wasn’t done as he made sure to remind everyone that Trump incited the Capitol insurrection.

“Just imagine, if my predecessor came to this dinner this year, now that would have been a real coup if that occurred,” Biden joked.

But the snowflakes over at the RNC are beholden to Trump, so they threw a temper tantrum over Biden’s jokes.

It’s hard to unite the country when Republicans have made it quite clear that they have no interest in a united nation. The GOP stands for division, hatred, authoritarianism, and partisanship now more than ever. In fact, the RNC recently referred to the violent Capitol insurrection as “legitimate political discourse.”

If anything, the President united the country against Trump and his war against democracy. Unfortunately, most Republicans sided with Trump against America and our Constitution.

And let’s not forget that Republicans constantly claim to be all for freedom of speech but here they are complaining about Biden telling jokes about Trump. It should also be pointed out that the RNC never condemned any of Trump’s disgusting remarks about Biden over the years. As usual, Republicans are hypocrites.
