President Donald Trump couldn’t even let Christmas go by without throwing a massive temper tantrum like a crazed lunatic on Twitter Wednesday, as he used the final hours of Christmas night to lash out at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) over impeachment.

It’s been just over a week since the full House officially adopted two articles of impeachment charging Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. One would have hoped that Trump would at least spare the American people from his online hissy fits on Christmas, especially since his Christmas message stressed “deeper understanding and respect” as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, Trump couldn’t even practice what he preached as he launched an attack on Pelosi.

First of all, the House has the sole power to impeach via the Constitution and Democrats have more than a “slight” majority at 233-197, more than enough to pass articles of impeachment. Trump was even impeached by the most votes in history, becoming just the third president to receive that dubious distinction.

Furthermore, a trial takes place in the Senate, not the House. And Trump could have had witnesses testify but he blocked many officials from testifying, including his chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, former National Security Adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. He can’t seriously complain that House Democrats did not hear these witnesses when he is the one who prevented them from testifying.

Twitter users responded by burning Trump to the ground.

Pelosi has yet to respond, but she usually does not respond to his tantrums because that’s the way a normal person should respond to a petulant child. Once again, Pelosi proves she is the adult in the room.
