President Donald Trump’s narcissism reared its ugly head again on Monday morning in the wake of a brutal stabbing during a Hanukkah celebration over the weekend. As usual, Trump found a way to make the tragedy all about himself.
Five people were stabbed in an attack on a Hanukkah celebration at a rabbi’s home on Saturday evening in New York state. Two of the victims are in critical condition and the suspect has been arrested though he has no known ties to any hate groups.
Trump initially responded to the attack by briefly condemning anti-Semitism in an example of lip service considering his recent anti-Semitic remarks.
The anti-Semitic attack in Monsey, New York, on the 7th night of Hanukkah last night is horrific. We must all come together to fight, confront, and eradicate the evil scourge of anti-Semitism. Melania and I wish the victims a quick and full recovery.

However, rather than more strongly condemn anti-Semitism on Monday morning, Trump decided to make the attack about himself. While watching Fox & Friends during his “executive time,” Trump focused entirely on what was being said about him by a guest than on the topic of the attack.
Thank you to highly respected Jewish leader Dov Hikind for his wonderful statements about me this morning on @foxandfriends.

This overt display of narcissism did not play well at all.
Yes, because it’s all about you and not the Jews who’ve been attacked and killed… #Trump #MonseyAttack #Antisemitism

You are in such dire need for attention. Grow up.

Imagine if @lsarsour, @AOC, @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib said something like this in the wake of an antisemitic terror attack.

Your self congratulatory psychoses in the wake of human tragedy is sickening.

Even during a tragedy, you have enough time for self PR.
Congratulations for being an egomaniac.

Can you try to pretend not to be a gross narcissist? Like, just for today maybe, and then see how it goes?

The Jewish community is hurting right now because of this stabbing. The least Trump could do is not act like he’s a victim, too.
