Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has been helping President Donald Trump downplay the seriousness of the coronavirus, but that all fell apart on Thursday when he self-quarantined himself after visiting Mar-a-Lago at the same time as a Brazilian official who tested positive for the virus.

Just this past Wednesday night, Graham appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity to criticize media coverage of the virus and claimed that the pandemic is not as big a deal as has been reported.

But over the weekend, Graham had spent time at Mar-a-Lago with Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, both of whom had contact with a Brazilian official who later tested positive for coronavirus. Clearly spooked by the news, Graham announced that he is quarantining himself as a precaution and undergoing tests.

Again, Graham did not have any contact with the official, but Trump and Pence did, and he certainly spent time with them. That means Trump and Pence could be infected as well.

However, Twitter users certainly took note of Graham’s situation and proceeded to mock him for not taking the virus seriously even though it has been contracted by over 1,200 Americans and has killed over 35 of them in a short period of time.

He should definitely learn his lesson, but it’s likely Graham will continue pushing Trump’s coronavirus propaganda even though he himself freaked out about possibly contracting it. It’s just another example of why he should be ousted from office in November.
