President Donald Trump demonstrated why he may have had to pay someone to take his SAT exam for him by bizarrely tweeting that he has said the same thing about coronavirus testing for “the 1/100th time.”
Indeed, Trump has repeatedly claimed that the only reason why the United States has so many cases of the virus is because we have tested so many people and that the numbers would be lower if we just tested less.
Of course, that’s absurd. The reason why our country is about to break 3 million cases is because Trump has failed to respond properly to this pandemic from the beginning and caused an explosion of the virus by forcing states to reopen earlier than health experts recommended. Now over 132,000 Americans are dead and Trump wants to put our kids at risk by demanding schools reopen.
But once again, Trump made the same claim and did it while failing at math.
For the 1/100th time, the reason we show so many Cases, compared to other countries that haven’t done nearly as well as we have, is that our TESTING is much bigger and better. We have tested 40,000,000 people. If we did 20,000,000 instead, Cases would be half, etc. NOT REPORTED!

If Trump had said “for the 100th time” it would have been grammatically correct. But he didn’t, and demonstrated exactly why he had to cheat on his SAT exam.

No, the reason we show so many cases is that more people are getting ill, many very ill. Just look at how hospitals in Florida and Texas are being overwhelmed with Covid-19 cases. That’s not just because there is more testing. It’s because MORE PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY SICK.
