Desperate to find a line of attack that will work on President Joe Biden, Fox News host Sean Hannity decided he’d suggest that Biden is too easy on dictators, only to have his words come back and bite him.

Hannity held a town hall meeting Wednesday evening in Miami which featured Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). The topic was the crisis in Cuba, where residents are beginning to protest against the government due to shortages of food and medicine in the country.

The Fox host turned to Rubio and DeSantis and asked:

“What is the Biden doctrine? To kiss the ass of every single solitary dictator in the world?”

Actually, that question would more accurately be used to describe the policies of former President Donald Trump, as HuffPost notes with a list of the worst tyrants Trump cozied up to during his four years in office:

“Trump spent much of his time in office alienating traditional U.S. allies and embracing dictators and strongman leaders. Trump said that he and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Unfell in love,’ and at one point he broke protocol and saluted a North Korean general. Trump also publicly backed Russian President Vladimir Putin over the U.S. intelligence community and did nothing when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s bodyguards assaulted American protesters in Washington. Erdoğan later claimed Trump apologized to him over the incident, which the White House denied.”

Twitter users then raked Hannity over the coals:
