Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, said Thursday that she’s “thrilled” when her 3-year-old daughter doesn’t wear a protective face mask and gets sick.
Trump — who is also a Fox News contributor — was discussing debate taking place inside the Biden administration of recommending Americans wear masks once again to help combat the rise of COVID-19 infections taking place among the unvaccinated as new variants of the disease crop up, which would include children wearing masks in school. Mrs. Trump said she was opposed to such a plan:
“The idea that we’re going to make our children sit in school masked up all day long I think is absolutely ludicrous.”
She then suggested that children are “not coming in contact with germs that they need to develop an immune system.”
“My daughter, Carolina, last week had a cold. Every parent knows that’s a nightmare. I have to tell you, I was so thrilled because I know that she is actually getting in contact with viruses and germs and bacteria that will allow her to develop an immune system.
“This is absolutely insane. As a parent, I can tell you I’m not going to be masking up my children. It is not going to happen.”

So Lara Trump would rather see her daughter contract COVID-19 and wind up in an intensive care ward, only able to breathe with the assistance of a ventilator? That’s now happening to children across the country. Are we supposed to take her bogus advice and not immunize our kids for anything? Based on what Lara Trump is proposing, it would seem that some Republicans now want see more people in the hospital and the virus spreading like wildfire in schools all over the country.
How many more hundreds of thousands of Americans have to die before Lara Trump and others like her are willing to say, Enough?!
