Tudor Dixon is the GOP gubernatorial nominee in the state of Michigan, facing off against incumbent Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Dixon probably thought that a sharp, witty, and engaging ad would give her struggling campaign a boost.
Instead, the ad Dixon released has made her an internet laughingstock and could spell the end of her already slim chances of winning in November.
Just how bad is the advertisement? According to HuffPost, it’s so bad that most people who saw it thought it must have been a parody. Take a look and try not to cringe:
These great folks know exactly what @gretchenwhitmer has done to all of us. Thanks to the Gratiot County GOP for this video! pic.twitter.com/GbgvnftPfY

Yikes! The only way the ad could have been worse is if they’d included shots of paint drying.
Dixon, who has been endorsed by former president Donald Trump, is currently trailing Whitmer by almost 12 points with the election now just slightly over a month away, and the ad has many Twitter users predicting that the Michigan Republican will be lucky to break 30% of the vote when the ballots are counted.
I was ambivalent about the Kids in the Hall reboot, but it turns out it’s pretty funny.

This is hilariously bad. And sadly hilarious that Tudor Dixon thinks she should tweet it out. https://t.co/ML33kBner7

But perhaps the best commentary came from longtime GOP strategist Rick Wilson.
Wait.
Hold on.
Someone PAID for this?
And you sharted it? https://t.co/eNSz7RFOGA

Excuse me, I meant “shared” but “sharted” also works.
