QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) demonstrated that she has never read the Bible, resulting in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other Twitter users schooling her on her sheer ignorance.
Greene has been making a complete fool of herself by denying coronavirus science, insisting that it came from a lab in China instead of being a naturally evolving virus that jumped from animals to humans. Now she is claiming that it had to be man-made because God would never create a virus that has killed over 600,000 Americans.
“Why is there any need to create a virus that could spread rapidly to a population, to make people sick and kill them? That is a bioweapon,” she said. “I don’t believe in evolution. I don’t believe in that type of so-called science. I don’t believe in evolution, I believe in God.”

It’s quite ironic considering Republicans refuse to believe that climate change is caused by human activity, but Greene’s insistence that God would not create a fatal pandemic is directly contradicted by the Bible itself as well as the many plagues that have stricken society for centuries, as many Twitter users, including AOC, pointed out.

She should read about Moses and the 10 plagues of Egypt. It’s amazing how these “Christians” seem to actually not know the Bible. Besides sending a plague of boils, God supposedly sent the Angel of death to kill all the first born sons of Egypt.

I mean, everyone knows bubonic plague was developed in a lab and accidentally leaked by the Italians in the early 1300’s so ….

*facepalm , as a christian and scientist this is offensive on so many levels that she said that

To be fair, if we listed the books she hasn’t read, we’d be here all night.

My favorite is when 40+ kids tell Elisha that he’s a baldy head and Elisha tells God to punish them and God sends two bears down from the woods to tear the kids to pieces. Fucking metal

Wait, so HIV *wasn’t* created to punish “sinners”?

If Republicans are going to make claims about God, they should at least read the Bible first to make sure their argument is sound because there are at least 5 billion copies of it in the world that people can read to see if what they are saying is complete nonsense or not.
