Fox Business host Lou Dobbs went full sycophant on his show Friday, elevating President Donald Trump to the status of deity as he discussed Trump’s decision to order the assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.

Specifically, Dobbs declared:

“This is a president who’s already — in my opinion, he’s already historic, but in my opinion, he’s also already one of the greatest presidents and with another four years, in which to get more done, he’s already set a standard, Congressman, for presidents that most mortals won’t be able to meet. He outworks them. He outthinks. He is remarkably resourceful. He’s bright. His judgment is second to none.”

As Mediate notes, this isn’t the first time Lou Dobbs has been so effusive with his praise of the president, which at times has bordered on outright worship:

“Just last month he predicted “century after century of veneration” for the president, and months ago he actually said, “Have a great weekend, the president makes such a thing possible for us all.”

Dobbs has also proudly proclaimed:

  • Trump is “unbeatable at the polls.”
  • “At every level, on every floor, this White House is energized. There’s sunshine beaming throughout the place, and on almost every face. It’s winner, and winning center, and our White House, our president, is at the top of his game.”

All of this even inspired a brilliant parody of Dobbs on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”

Apparently, when you’ve been impeached and are under investigation by multiple jurisdictions, Fox considers that to be ample reason for declaring you a god.
