On January 20, 2021, around the same time Joe Biden is taking the oath of office and becoming 46th President of the United States, some 300,000 of Donald Trump’s fanatical supporters will be holding a live Facebook even that’s being billed as Trump’s “second inauguration,” according to the Daily Dot:

“The Facebook event for Donald J. Trump 2nd Presidential Inauguration Ceremony is to be held simultaneously with the actual inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. This ‘inauguration’ for Trump is purely theater, obviously, likely either the product of delusion or denial, perhaps both.”

Who, you may ask, is behind this nonsense? Well, it’s a woman by the name of Evi Kokalari, who was also a member of the Trump Victory Finance Committee, which is ironic since the only victory the current head of state has chalked up took place four years ago and even then he needed the assistance of Russia to pull it off.

A quick look at Kokalar’s Facebook page shows photos of her with Eric Trump and a couple of GOP members of Congress, along with an event she hosted in October that featured former White House aide Steve Bannon:

Comments on the page that features news of the fake second inaugural event are pretty much what you’d expect from people who aren’t even smart enough to distinguish fact from conspiracy theory:

“Drain the swamp, prison stripes for all.”

Fortunately, Biden supporters have been trolling the MAGA faithful, with one writing:

“I just want to say thank you to everyone here. Your contribution to comedy has not gone unnoticed.”

Also, if you look closely enough at the Facebook page for the second Trump inaugural, you’ll find this telling disclaimer:

“Joe Biden is the President-elect. He will be inaugurated as the 46th US President on January 20, 2021.”

Apparently, some facts do manage to make it past the tinfoil hats perched atop the most fervent Trump worshipers.
