QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) rushed to gin up fear of President Joe Biden’s American Families Plan by making absurd claims that resulted in mockery raining down upon her.

Biden unveiled the $1.8 trillion childcare plan this week, and it includes many items that benefit families across the country.

According to the Washington Post:

While final numbers had not been determined, the largest efforts are expected to center on roughly $225 billion for childcare funding; $225 billion for paid family and medical leave; $200 billion for universal pre-kindergarten instruction; hundreds of billions in education funding, including tuition-free community colleges across the country; and other sums for nutritional assistance.

The plan would be paid for by raising taxes on wealthy individuals and is desperately needed to address issues that Americans have struggled with for decades. It’s a huge boost for parents, who would finally have access to affordable childcare, pre-K education, and community college for their children as well as the ability to take time off from work when they need to without having to worry about losing pay.

It’s a straightforward plan, but Greene fearmongered against it on Twitter in a post demonstrating she could use more education herself.

Again, only wealthy individuals are going to see their taxes rise to pay for this plan. It has nothing to do with gender or racial issues. And requiring a mask during a pandemic protects children against the coronavirus that has already killed over 570,000 Americans.

Twitter users took Greene to the woodshed, especially since her party is full of hypocrites when it comes to taking care of children and she supports Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who is being investigated for sex trafficking underage girls.

Greene’s rant proves that Republicans are against anything that actually helps Americans.
