Fox Business host Lou Dobbs is urging voters in South Carolina to give Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) the boot in November for having “betrayed President Trump at every turn.”

Dobbs made his remarks in response to a delay in hearings on social media giants Twitter and Facebook, which Graham now says the Senate Judiciary Committee won’t hold until after the November election.

That delay left Dobbs apoplectic, and he told voters in the Palmetto State they should dump Graham at the ballot box:

“I don’t know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham. It’s just outrageous. This is the guy who keeps saying, ‘Stay tuned.’ He said he would get to the bottom of Obamagate with the Judiciary Committee, which has been a year and a half, actually longer, of absolute inert response to these pressing issues of our day.”

Dobbs then recalled that Trump had said during the 2016 GOP primaries that Graham was “one of the dumbest human beings I’ve ever seen,” adding:

“I believe that the president’s words about the senator then apply today.

“Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn. He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. He’s done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone stay tuned, time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina.”

The comments from Dobbs drew praise from the anti-Trump group The Lincoln Project, which is also working to defeat Graham, who has been one of the president’s most vocal defenders since the 2016 election. The group issued a statement which read:

“The Lincoln Project rarely agrees with Lou Dobbs, but today we join in his sentiments that South Carolinians should not re-elect the spineless, do-nothing dead weight Senator Lindsey Graham. Lindsey Graham is a weak man with a weak character. While we hate to give Lou Dobbs any credibility, when he’s right, he’s right and should be commended for calling out Graham for being the pathetic swamp rat he is.”

Recent polls out of South Carolina show an incredibly tight race between Graham and his Democratic challenger, Jaime Harrison, with a Morning Consult survey showing Harrison holding a narrow two-point lead over the incumbent.
