Tuesday morning on Fox News, host/anchor Bill Hemmer told viewers that Karl Marx was the author of Mein Kampf, which was instead written by German dictator Adolf Hitler.
During a segment on the Fox morning show, Hemmer remarked:
“I remember 20 years old going to Trier, Germany and trying to find the home of Karl Marx cuz, y’know, 1848 — he wrote ‘Mein Kamp. I want to know what it’s all about.”
Apparently, Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer thinks Karl Marx wrote Mein Kampf.

A few minutes later, Hemmer corrected himself:
Later on in the program, Bill Hemmer says he misspoke when he said Karl Marx wrote Mein Kampf.

However, despite his attempt to clean up his earlier faux pas, social media couldn’t resist giving Hemmer a heavy dose of disdain and mockery:
Bill Hemmer: $400 haircut on a $2 head.

I’d say that was an intentional “Freudian slip”. The thing is, no one who watches Fox will know he is wrong.
They just tied “socialism” (using the concept inaccurately) to fascism. And the viewers will lap it up happily.

.@BillHemmer dude, did you misspeak or do you just not know who wrote Mein Kampf? Also, 1848? You’re abt 80 years premature here.
So let’s talk abt that American education you got.

@BillHemmer not knowing Adolf Hitler wrote Mein Kampf pretty much sums up FOX *news*

Give Bill some slack here! He was obviously talking at the top of his head which is prone to error, especially when there’s nothing in it.

He then adds, “that’s part of the education of America if you so choose.”
Hilarious.
