As he continues to try and overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election by filing frivolous lawsuits that are getting tossed out of court across the country, Rudy Giuliani is increasingly drawing the attention of federal investigators who suspect he may be working directly on behalf of Russian intelligence, according to a startling report from CNN:

“In recent weeks, FBI agents in New York contacted witnesses and asked new questions about Giuliani’s efforts in Ukraine and possible connections to Russian intelligence, according to a person briefed on the matter. The FBI investigators, who have spoken to at least one witness previously months ago, came back to ask new questions recently about possible origins of emails and documents related to Hunter Biden that appear similar to those that the New York Post reported that Giuliani and others helped provide. CNN has previously reported that the ongoing probe is examining whether Giuliani is wittingly or unwittingly part of a Russian influence operation, according to people briefed on the matter.”

The fact that the FBI suspects President Donald Trump’s personal attorney of being a tool of a foreign intelligence service raises larger questions about whether or not the Kremlin is once again actively involved in a coordinated effort to interfere with an American election. In 2016, U.S. intelligence agencies had evidence that Russia worked to help elect Trump by spreading misinformation and propaganda on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

If it can be proven that Giuliani does have ties to Russian intelligence, hopefully the incoming Biden administration will prosecute him and any co-conspirators for betraying their country.
